So.. I'm having a shoe party tomorrow night. It's totally selfish because if I get 10 people to come I get 2 free pairs of shoes! Who couldn't use a new pair of shoes? They also have handbags and sunglasses. All the shoes are under $25 and the sunglasses are all $10. So, everyone is invited... call me if you want to come. It starts at 7 and goes until 9. Tonsils, Adenoids, and ear tubes- check
Well, Today was the big day. We went in at about 9 this morning for his surgery and we made it without any struggles. He couldn't eat anything after midnight last night, so I was worried he would ask for food and milk, but he didn't. It was a lot of waiting around, but Luke did really good. He didn't want the hospital gown on until he got the "happy juice" and then he willingly put it on. He was trying to walk around and he looked like a little drunk. Anyway, we waited what seemed like forever and then they finally called us back to see him. The doctor said his adenoids were even bigger than his tonsils and they were glad they got them out. He was still waking up and he really wanted his IV out. He would cry for a minute and then he would fall back to sleep again for a minute. As soon as they got the IV out, he was just fine. We made it home and he relaxed for a minute and then threw up all the chocolate milk he drank at the hospital. Luckily, my mom was here to help me all day. She stayed with Beau while we went with Luke. Luke was a little bi-polar today- crying one minute and laughing and playing the next. He is excited about all the pudding and treats he gets to eat. And he even ate some rice crispies and some pizza today. I'd say he is doing really well, but I'm sure the next week will be a little challenge. We are happy to have it over and done with and hopefully he will stop getting sick from now on. Thanks to everyone who prayed for Luke and thought of us today!

My new hobby..
Well it may be totally lame, but my newest addiction is couponing! I get really excited to go grocery shopping - believe it or not! Today I went to Albertson's and spent $47.72 and saved $63.71! I also got a $20 coupon to spend on anything on my next store visit, with no minimum to spend. How sweet is that? Here is a list of items I got today..
6 boxes of GM cereal
8 bottles of Bertolli Pasta sauce
4 bottles of Ragu pasta sauce
3 bottles All liquid laundry detergent
2 loaves of bread
1 bottle of orange juice
1 box of Toaster Strudels(yum) and
4 bottles liquid hand soap
It's been fun and totally worth my time! I use mainly 2 websites www.grocerysmarts.com and www.pinchingyourpennies.com. They do all the hard work for me!

My little Lukey...
So.. Luke went to the doctor again today for his cough and runny nose that just won't go away. He is so used to going to the doctor, he sits on the chair all by himself and lets the doc look in his ears and he opens his mouth when asked. He is so cute and I feel so bad he is always in the doctor's office. The poor kid is just always sick! He had to go to an Ear Nose and Throat doctor and he decided that Luke needs to have his tonsils and adenoids out, and while they're at it they will put in some ear tubes. I'm pretty nervous for all this, but if it will help him get well it will be worth it. So on the 25th he will be going in for surgery. Wish us luck!

What a beautiful place!
We went hiking at the Red Cliffs on Memorial Day. It is the first time we have gone there and it is so beautiful. It only costs $2 per car to get in and there are some awesome hikes there. The one we went on ended up at some natural pools and there were tons of people swimming in them (probably not the best day to go for peace and quiet's sake) but we had lots of fun! I ended up slipping on a big rock while I was holding Luke and scraped up the back of my hand and my elbows and knee. I'm such a clutz, but luckily Luke just got a little bump on his head. And I didn't take any more pics after that little incident. Other than that it was really fun. We've decided Beau needs to get more exercise because he was complaining the most of the time that he was tired, but he made it just fine. It was really awesome, we can't wait to go there again. It is only about a 10 min. drive from our house so if anyone wants to come and go with us let us know!
